I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Drug dealing, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. On the morning of Sunday 8th March, officers from Stockton Outer Neighbourhood Team A Relief, attend an address in the Port Clarence area acting on information and intelligence that there was drug related ASB and wanted person(s) residing at the address.
On entering the property officers detained two males, and a subsequent search of the address resulted in cash, drugs and weapons recovered.
Both males were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs.
One male was bailed and the other charged and remanded to Court after seeking CPS charging advice.
A/Insp. Darren Williamson said “Information and intelligence we have received over a number of weeks highlighted a pattern of ASB and drug related criminality which significantly impacts local residents. Officers have utilised entry, search and seizure powers which has resulted in positive action being taken and a male charged and remanded into custody. We will continue to pursue those individuals that cause our communities the most harm and facilitate ASB by allowing their property to be used as a hub for criminal activity. Working with partners I will actively pursue action that will see those property owners evicted from their properties when and where appropriate to do so.”
